Head Gear Gets Creepy by Mark Dillon
Head Gear Animation has been up to some scary and twisted work, creating a dozen five-second IDs for YTV's fall 2002 season. Four Head Gear directors were commissioned to make spots consisting of visual gags with bizarre characters in weird settings, and the best pieces were selected by YTV creative director Dolores Keating-Mallen.
The Shop also provided two 30-second promos for Cartoon Network's 'Halloween Stunt' October lineup. It made an additional 15 bumpers, featuring rotoscoped characters from Courage the Cowardly Dog and zombies by Jeanie McIvor and GVFX's Dave Asling, who also created the desert set.
Other recent gigs include a half-dozen animated IDs for Discovery Channel's new Quest program, through Atlanta's BaylessCronin, and brand new packaging for two Astral Media Pay-TV channels.
